Dave: So I thought the wife and I could sneak out and have some alone time.
Christy: And when he started talking about the beach I knew that kiddo would never forgive us if we went without her, lol.
Dave: Which lead to kiddo AND her friend coming along of course because hey, it’s the beach and it’s better with friends.
Christy: Too bad it was last minute Dee could have come along too 🙂
Dave: And where would we put her board?
Christy: The roof?
Dave: [snort] it’s a long board, we’d have looked like that car we passed with the kayak flopping around on top.
Christy: Hmmm, point. I honestly thought that car was going to take flight like the Flying Nun or something.
Dave: So we didn’t even get to where I wanted to go…
Christy: because that would have meant us leaving before noon ya?
Dave: And the parking lot was packed…
Dave: And I just wanted to go somewhere else at this point…
Christy: Which was silly because you said that as that truck was pulling out right on the front row and we got his spot. [shaking head]
Dave: It was a good spot
Christy: Yeah, right by the restrooms that had no toilet paper, lol.
Dave: At least there were working showers.
Dave: So there we were at Mickler Beach and you’d expect something like this
Christy: But it was more like…
because after the hurricane last year they had to go in and replant sea grasses in the dune area to prevent erosion. I’m so pleased they were able to get everything done before summer, it does tend to get warm here sooner than other places.
Dave: It was a good day though, the kids got to play and we got some great photos
Christy: And my favorites…
Dave: And lets not forget this one dear [laughing]
Christy: [sigh] Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, I was happy to leave after a couple hours we do need to get some kind of shade if we’re going to be going out and about doing the photography gig.
Dave: Anyway, we can recommend Mickler Beach in Ponte Vedra, Florida as kid friendly and pretty nice.
Christy: Bring TP!
